Booking Process
To book me for your special day simply use my contact form HERE and submit the details you know so far about venue, date and time. Once I have your information I will check the diary and come back to you, usually within the day. If you would prefer a phone call rather than email then please let me know on your submission form.
If you need any more information before making a decision I am more than happy to schedule an over the phone consultation meeting, a meeting in person or answer any questions you may have via email which is a very popular option if you are planning this from afar.
If you haven’t already, please check out my photography packages and let me know if you need any help choosing which one best fits your day - CLICK HERE.
Once you have decided to book with me and have selected the photography package that best fits your wedding I shall then email over an invoice for a 20% non refundable deposit to secure the date. The invoice will also have the remaining balance, this needs to be paid within two weeks of the date of the wedding and this invoice forms the contract for my services.
Planning
Once booked I shall be in contact nearer to the wedding date to start creating my plan for your day, this is usually a few months before. I will make a site visit wherever possible so that I can scope out good locations for photographs. I usually gather all the details I need via email or over the phone, but I am more than happy to meet up in person if preferred to discuss the specifics for the day. Some aspects to plan in may be whether you want me to capture the day as it happens using my own style of photography which is capturing all the key points of the day as it happens in a natural way, some would call this a documentary style. I am also open to you providing me with some photographic references that you have seen online whether that is some posed shots from either my portfolio or somewhere like Pinterest - either way I will need to know in advance. I am also happy to step in to pose a shot if you like this kind of photo, usually I save this for the couples photoshoot. You may also decide to have specific family or friend photographed, the list of these photos are also part of the planning and should be given to me in advance. I will strive to capture all and everyone that attend your day.
I shall send you over a list of questions to help me create the plan for the day. Everything from what car you will be turning up in to timings of each part of the day.
On the Day
I like to capture weddings with professional camera gear, you will see me with two top of the range Canon camera's and a good range of lenses. I often have a lens specific for portraits then a wider angle lens to capture the bigger scene. I love using natural light and try to use keep flash photography to an absolute minimum or even not at all where possible.
I will always arrive with plenty of time to get myself prepped for the action and to ensure your arriving guests are captured well.
I will bring along my list of requirements you have provided as not to miss anything, and refer to these as your wedding continues.
If I am booked for a full day of photography, where possible, it would be great to be included into your food options. Although I am more than happy to bring my own packed lunch for the longer day weddings it is nice to eat a hot meal but that really is your choice. I will not capture you and your guests eating and so will use this time to refresh and review my work ready to start capturing again once the meal is over.
Receiving Photos
After the wedding I will edit all of the best captured photos from the day and in due course you will receive your photo’s via email with a website link to an online album. You will have a password entry to the album and from there be able to download, view, and share with friends and family. You can also create a favourites folder to share with your nearest and dearest or come back to in the future. The gallery will also be linked with a professional printers for purchasing a range of sized prints if desired. The digital gallery will only be available for a maximum of 18 months from the day of the wedding.
Imagery lead-times: Out of the July - mid September months the lead time on receiving your digital photo album will be within 2 weeks, however during the busier wedding season the lead time will usually be up to 3-4 weeks. I work very hard to exceed deadline times but these are given as a safe measure. Do just ask should you need a specific earlier timescale due to exceptional circumstances.
For all weddings booked under a Day Package, you will also receive your photos on a keep sake wooden memory stick, in a presentation box to keep safe for many years to treasure.
Insurance
I have full professional indemnity insurance and public liability insurance, so I can be happy in the knowledge my part is covered should my services cause any mishaps. If you need any further detail regarding the insurance then do please ask. Some veneues like to have this information and so I am more than happy to email documentation to the venues on request.
